We have a number of riders riding both at the velodrome at the Manchester track leagues, regionally at the Youth Omniums and nationally. We also have lots of our riders taking part in the West Riding Track league races based at Roundhay (Roundhay has racing on the grass velodrome in the middle of Roundhay Park which is for all ages whereas the velodrome is for older youths). Yorkshire Track Clusters
We also take part in the Yorkshire Track Clusters where membership of EBCC (Frist Claim only ) allows you to attend specific velodrome training sessions from the age of 9 to 16 for novices to advanced.Info will be emailed out to all members on our database as need to be pre-booked on the British Cycling Website so make sure your email is on the club records!
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
The sessions must be booked online and can be done so through the following links. You must pre-book, need to wear two tops, and if you don’t have a bike, you will need to book a bike via the event organiser at least 48 hours before. Shoes can be hired from the velodrome and they use Look Delta Cleats. Please also take a pair of trainers just in case as well. You also need to turn up in plenty of time – at least 3/4 of an hour before to sort out bikes etc.YOU MUST RIDE IN EBCC JERSEY!!!!
The next session for our club is on the 26th March 2017.You should enrol as a Novice whatever your experience unless you have attended these sessions before and one of the Cluster coaches has moved you up a group. Once you are accredited, then you can’t access these sessions.BOOK EARLY AS PLACES GO QUICKLY)

The final session before the summer break is on the 7th May 2017 and there are places left in every category:
Once you have achieved a certain standard, you will be invited to an accreditation session. Once this is passed, you can then race at the Monday Night ACT league at the Manchester Velodrome or the Friday Night Manchester Track league (Over 14s only). As a youth rider, you also get access to Tuesday night advanced training sessions through Summer once yoiu have reached a required standard.
